Their loose assemblage is held together, 

by a special protein called collagen. 

Collagen is seen in all animals, sisters and brothers. 

You can even find it in your local congressman. 

Sponges carry out all the same functions 

that organs carry out in other animals. 

They will not malfunction! 

The thought of that is laughable! 

Sponges are the first animals to reproduce sexually, 

And that’s through pumping their sperm and eggs into water.
